netting - silly question

Recommended Posts

I want to fence the chickens off in an area to save my poor tulips! and to save the girls from foxes. I am going to do a square and only need the netting on 3 sides as we have a wall on one side. Can the netting be electrified even if it's not touching one end to another (does that makes sense?) Thanks

Yes, there is no need for the ends to meet, but it is important that the ends and the electrified wires (all the horizontal strands apart from the bottom one) do not touch anything that conducts electricity, such as foliage, metal etc. So you have to give some thought to what to do at the ends to make sure nothing can squeeze between the end and the wall.
