Can't wait for the children to see it, perhaps the 'are you sure your a hen or else your lunch' talk from my husband persuaded one of them. Have had the squatting for a week now, then this morning very strange sounds from the nest box by the biggest one, who always comes out to see you but didnt, made me hang around to find out what was going on with eager anticipation, better than Christmas ! Thought we might have an Easter Egg if they left it much longer. no doubt the hungry teenager will consume it quicker than it took to lay it. Doris 12 Posted March 30, 2009 Share Posted March 30, 2009 Congratulations, it's lovely finding your first egg, I had to let my Husband find it!!( he was more excited than my Teenage Sons) couldn't wait for him to get home from work and check on "The Girls" this was last summer, and they all continue to lay almost every day, it is still always a pleasure to find eggs and I still always say thank you!
