3hens2cats Posted March 31, 2009 Share Posted March 31, 2009 Hi Phil, No expert but with Fudge Crumpet (our one and only layer) I noticed her comb getting larger and larger and then whilst still been quite pink - she laid her first egg and over night it became and very vibrant red. I must say she looks beautiful. Then I am biased.
