I was just browsing the internet for information about chicken health and found this interesting article suggesting that feather pecking, in part, could be due to protein deficiency.

 

I haven't got any pecking problems myself (yet) but I know from looking at the forum that a lot of you do, so this might be helpful...

I watched one of my girls hoover up a stray feather this afternoon...revolting habit. I will try the additional protein route I think.
