chixandthecity
Hello Does anyone know how to remove Stockholm Tar (dried on and hard) from a chicken or does it just eventually wear off? One of mine has some very hard patches on her wing feathers (we had to use it earlier in the week to try to prevent attacks from our other hen). It seems to be bothering her quite a bit! thanks Chix
sandyhas3chucks
i tried all sorts before reaching for washing up liquid remembering those sea rescue programs when there was all that oil in the sea & on beaches. rinsed really really really well. It's awful stuff isn't it, will never use again!
Minnie the Moocher
Try olive oil. Don't know if it will work on feathers, but it removes beach tar from skin very easily.
