chixandthecity
After a stressful week watching Blossom bully Sunflower (Cuckoo Maran), we've decided that she isn't suited to our environment and are taking her back to the poultry breeder tomorrow to swap for a Gingernut Ranger. Blossom has made Sunflower's life a misery to the point that Sunflower is terrified to go into the Eglu to roost at night and hovers at the door for half an hour before plucking up the courage to go in. She has no feathers left around her vent as they have been plucked out and eaten by Blossom, she's covered in hardened Stockholm Tar which we resorted to to keep her from being attacked. All in all, she's a sorry state! Hopefully it's not going to be out of the frying pan, into the fire, but we've been told that White Stars can be feisty and aren't always suited to garden flock, so hopefully the Gingernut will be more docile Will update over the weekend when the newbie arrives! madchickenlady
Sorry that you've had to send the white star back, but I'm not surprised. We briefly had a white star, and she was a lunatic! Rangers seem to be much more chilled out and relaxed. Hope the new intro goes well
