No eggs for some time

Recommended Posts

Hi all. Just looking for some advice. One of my girls was a very intermittent layer last year and so far this year I have had no eggs. :( I am feeding her a diet of layers mash and s"Ooops, word censored!"s. Does anyone have any advise. My other girl is laying a good size egg every day. Thanks (blue eglu)

I`ve got seven chooks and six of them lay almost everyday but the

pepperpot only lays about one a fortnight, she`s the same age as three of

the others but she has never been a consistant layer. shame really as I hardly ever

get seven eggs a day.

It might be a good idea to cut right back on the s"Ooops, word censored!"s, and keep her on the mash for a while to see if that helps.

Has she been wormed recently? If not, I'd do it as a precaution. A cargo of worms can prevent them from laying.

Best place to buy Flubenvet is online

I bought the Flubenvet Intermediate 2.5% 240g tub last year when I had the same as you a drop in egg production. Saw lots of dead worms in their poo once they'd had it and I'd not seen evidence of them before. I now use it every 3 months. Some other online shops are:
