when to worm?

Recommended Posts

hi,

i've had my chickens from omlet since november.

so far i've not wormed them, should i do it even if they seem very healthy?

should i be able to tell from looking at them?

whats the best product?

sorry if these seem like obvious questions, i just don't want to do the wrong

thing.

If you can get in a routine with worming that is a good thing.

I had mine for 10 months, no sign of worms in their poo and thought every thing was OK. Then I had a spell of egg reduction, so I tried worming with Flubenvet just in case and was horrified to see dead worms in their poo. :vom:

So from then on I've wormed every 3/4 months and put it in the diary to do.

You can get Flubenvet online from various places. Shop around for best price.

Some people on here use Verm-X natural wormer. I can't comment on it as I've not used it but I decided to go with Flubenvet instead.
