Is a Mendlesham Blue a hybrid? If so what pure breed mix are they?

 

I know that Sam my Miss Pepperpot is the result of a Rhode Island Red crossed with a Maran and a Plymouth Rock, but have no idea about my Dipper

Hi, yes they are a hybrid. It's just another name for a Bluebelle. I understand they're a Maran, Rhode Island Red cross.

I got a mendlesham Blue (aka bluebell) apparently cant remember which place it is they originated from but if it doesnt come from that breeder??Place??the person selling it cant call it a Bluebell....

I got a mendlesham Blue this week and she looks like bluebell to me ..wonder if an expert could tell the difference..I am certainly a novice completely but probably someone will correct me..it looks the same to me!

 

I am going to post some photos this weekend of my chickens etc so look out for them..the Bluebell is so friendly that i have day 4 and she ate out of my hand to day and has been very inquisitive and keeps lookout whilst the other dopey pair doze
