Couperman Posted April 13, 2009 Share Posted April 13, 2009 We are home again after a brief jaunt down to the equatorial resort of Southend Had a lovely time, stayed in a lovely hotel, became godparents, witnessed a full scale baptism or two, met a lovely young lady and smashing young policeman with some splendid chickens and a couple of cubes and an eglu. Thanks for your splendid hospitality Pengy, it was really nice to meet you both Learned the ways of the Sat-Nav and found out what Blackpool is supposed to look like! All very tiring we clocked up 705 miles and about 12 hours travelling. Anyhow good to be back, not looking forward to work tomorrow, but could do with the rest! Kev. It was lovely to meet you, the policeman theme continued to the boot sale the next day and the church sale and a visit to a farm next to the church!
