I have two hens - Freda & Ruby - Ruby has laid an egg nearly every day since we got her last May, however, Freda has not laid an egg now since November!! We thought it was probably due to a small moult and then the winter setting in, but now I am quite concerned it could be something else. She seems well and is happy around the garden. Her red quill is fine, so not showing any outward signs of being unwell. Any suggestions??

Might be worth worming her.

 

Are you sure that she isn't laying a stash of eggs under a shrub in the garden? Not uncommon if they free range.
