jlo
...if you think you're 'ard enough! That seems to be the order of the day with our two newbies at the moment! I know that all you experienced people will find all this a bit old hat but I think that it is fascinating to see how personalities develop - it's like a little personal soap opera down the garden! We have let the two new girls out but kept them in netting for the moment and let the old girls range round them. started to go for through the netting, at which point, flew over to defend her. Old girls wandered off and peace reigned for a while. Then, for no apparent reason, flew at but not in any serious way. It is almost as though she is saying, "I will look after you but you have got to appreciate that I am Top Chook amongst us two!" The tension when and reappeared on the scene was tangible. kept going close to who was desperately trying to get to her through the netting. We intervened relatively gently. I am still pretty nervous about how these relationships will move on as seems to be a particularly feisty thing. Should anyone think that we are doing things very wrong, I would be happy to get any advice!
