Hi Dave welcome to the forum.

We treat our ducks in the same way as the hens so no extra 'remedies' required.

As long as they have their shelter all that is needed is a constant supply of clean water. We have a small pond which the ducks can swim and bathe in and a drinker with a guard over so that there is always clean water for them to dunk their heads.

Thanks Lesley

So do we look after these preety much the same way as chickens, in the way of a little spice now and again poultry drink in there water etc etc . little garlic in food?

Can they get red mite and if so how do you catch them :D:lol: the ducks i mean ?

Mine are 7 weeks old are they to young to go outside in there new house?

Once again many thanks

Dave

If they are fully feathered then they should be OK to go out in their house as it is warm enough at night now. We've only raised ducklings under a duck so I can't remember when they are feathered.

...and yes, poultry spice and stuff in their water is fine.

Red mite - ours have never had it, I don't think they are a s susceptible to it as hens.......but ours have never been in a wooden house and that may help.
