I would be intrested to know can you purchase a eglu without a nesting purch for more floor space for male ducks only . It seems a bit silly when its not needed. What do you think???

You could probably purchase an Eglu without the roosting bars but the nestbox takes up a bit of space and is built in

 

You would have more room in a Rabbit Eglu (Rablu) I think but that does not have a slide out poo tray, it has one that lifts out

Great for cleaning ducks out not sure what breed u are going to have duck wise?? but I visited someone with one aylesbury in an eglu & run and felt really sorry for it..the room is just not big enough(I am sure others will disagree..)Ducks like to roam and must have water(sorry for the lecture) u will prob be ok with smaller ducks...I think u can remove the perches..

 

I dont think i am being sentimental(just animal realistic) but Aylesbury is a big duck..there is a duck forum here

 

I know some of the other more ornamental ducks do like to roost in trees

 

not saying eglu is nt fine for ducks..just different habits than chickens as i am discovering..ducks love water(obvious essential) they are blooming messy too

 

Chickens r easier
