chixandthecity
Hi there Blossom has just 'laid' two flesh coloured lumps, which look a little like fried/cooked egg and have a sort of rubbery yet spongey texture. She grabbed one and ate it and then Rosie ate the other! Gross. Blossom is back outisde at the mo after perking up a bit Taking her and Poppy to see poultry vet this afternoon Does anyone know what this stuff is? Thanks Chix
Daphne
Its known as a 'lash'. If you go to the Egg forum, scroll down and find a post by SusanK called One of my hens laid a LASH to-day - read that and follow the links in it. It'll tell you everything you want to know (or not!) So, at least you know why Blossom has been off-colour. Sorry I can't do a hyperlink - got to dash out and haven't got the time to understand how to do it!
