cockadoodle1 Posted May 18, 2009 Share Posted May 18, 2009 I have had my six chooks for just over two weeks now and they still dont seem to know who is head chook. Bonbon ( a sweetie) runs around like roadrunner at times and is the only one we have seen pecking others so will it be her or will it be the last one in the cube at night? Scotty Posted May 18, 2009 Share Posted May 18, 2009 From my "little" experience, our first 4 settled in after about 2 weeks, then 1 year later we introduced 4 more hens, that took a little longer I would say 1 month, the older girls still try and "hog" the food bowl but all in all, there's not vicious nipping anymore. scotty Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
