Guest
Dont know if you can use frontline on chickens? just a thought...or benzylbenzoate which I use on my horses lower legs when they get harvest mites(I buy this from my local pharmacy who order this in great big bottles) My rationale is that some of the ingredients being used ie ivermectin etc are used on equines...just a mad thought(appreciate strengths are v different etc) indie
Egluntyne
Some info on Frontline **here**. Some do use benzyl benzoate for Scaley leg mite. Probably not licensed for use on poultry in UK.

Guest
Thanks for the responses, I know they were trying to get horse wormers POM but it went out the window..trouble is once they start making us go to the vets I think one concern was horse folk wouldnt bother to worm. However there are resistance to some horse wormers in equines due to overuse...etc Oh well interesting re the benzyl benzoate , it smells nice and is for scabies in humans..the other thing if mine got ridden with these mites and lice is I may go and get some human ie Derbac or nit shampoo....etc The lady I got my chickens from did recommend the Johnsons spray??for scaly legs itchy subject
