Slickchick
Hi, my baby girl Primrose , 13/14 wks is looking really sorry for herself this morning. Have heard her sneeze a few times, but can't see any discharge from nostrils or eyes, she had also spent most of the morning in the eglu, has been out for a bit to eat and drink but nothing like she would normally have. Have been to local health food shop and pet shop they don't have any Citrocidal or Grapefruit extract so have ordered some from Omlet this morning, is there anything else i can give her until this arrives, obviously im checking on her around every hour at the moment, any advice welcome Thanks in advance. Budgies
Normally I would ask if you've changed their bedding etc as they can get allergies like we can get hay fever. As she's indoors and obviously feeling rough though, I don't think that's very likely to be the cause. Citricidal is good for minor respiratory problems but as she's feeling poorly too I wonder if it's worth a vet visit? It would be helpful to rule out things like infectious bronchitis. Forgot to add if you lift her up and listen to her breathing through her back, and you can hear any wheezing noises, she needs a vet asap. podstable
I agree with Budgies. It could be mycoplasma, lots about, shes only a baby. If it is then she and ?others will need appropriate antibiotics as advised by vet.Good Luck! Ros.
Lizzie
One of my girls had a chest infection, she also had no signs )no sneezing, runny eyes etc) but she did have a rattly chest. However, I think it had been going on for a while as she came out of the battery farm like this. She needed 10 days of antibitocs to clear and the others had to be treated also - one of them had caught in the meantime anyway, so may be better to get it checked out sooner rather than later. I used citridical also in the first instance but my vet said that this would not have cured her. hope she gets better soon regards Liz

Bless her. she finished the course on tuesday and is still snotty and sneezing tho she is very bright, happy eating and drinking lots... (which she was not a happy girl before the treatment) i use shredded paper for there nest bedding it is a bit dusty but thought this was the best thing to use... could it be this or does it take a while for the snot and sneezing to go once treatment has finished... tho i guess she could have hay fever, does that make them have a snotty nose and sneeze? please help? oh im also putting citricidal in the water to see if this helps...... tho did try this before going to vets.. but didnt work...
