I wondered why produciton was down and we now relaise thay are eating some of the eggs. Egluntyne Posted June 11, 2009 Share Posted June 11, 2009 You need to collect them as often as you can, and maybe put a ceramic egg in the nestbox, so that they hurt their beaks when pecking at the eggs, or blow the contents of a couple of eggs and fill it with mustard or curry powder. Not chilli....hens seem to be unable to taste it. Darkening the nest box so that they cant see the eggs is another tip I have read recently.
