How Quickly Does Albendazole Work?

Hi everyone,

 

Barbara has eaten half a tablet of drontal that was put in the cats tuna

 

Does anyone know if this will hurt her and should i take her to the vets?

Personally if it were me I would call the vets and ask what they reccomend. Michelle

Drontal can be used 'Off License' for chickens at at dose of 8-10mg/kg and has a reasonably safe margin up to 25mg. Therefore your chicken should be fine although may have slightly loose poos for a short while. You should not eat the eggs for 2 weeks.
