Assistance needed & Any recommended vets East London/Essex

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Recently on recommendation from users of this forum i got flubevent for the my chickens who had messy behinds. This seems to have cleared it up.

Now one of the girls for the past week seems very unusual in herself. She seems quiet, will just go to one section of the run (quite large) and turn away. Even if her favourites are dangled in front of her. I've noticed her behind was a bit messy a few days ago, although its cleared up. She hasnt laid for some time now.

I'm concerned as she is the active one who will fight for food but has now gone quiet.

In addition to this can anyone recommend a VET who will see chickens around the East London/Essex borders?

Thanks in advance.

Zee

Hi Zee,

My vet will see chickens, they don't claim to be experts but they were happy to treat mine when I took her there some time ago. It's the Palmerston Road Veterinary Surgery in Buckhurst Hill, Essex and they have several different vets there.

You are definitely describing a poorly hen, when they are not interested in food and keeping apart from the others there is something wrong, so a trip to the vet may be the best thing.

Aunty E. is in East London, and she might know some other vets in the area.
