helen5848 Posted July 5, 2009 Share Posted July 5, 2009 My hen has been broody now for approx 5 weeks! Nothing i seem to do does anything to change this! Any ideas? Initially when she went broody we tries everything - we tried the broody cage idea - as soon as she was released she went strainght back to sitting. We tried leaving ice packs in the bed to cool her down to no avail. We have also tried rinsing her bottom under cold water - again didn't work. In the end we thought that 4 weeks - ish of her being broody wasn't that bad and so we decided to just sit it out. But she has still not snapped out of this. Any ideas?
