18 months after buying my (pink eglu) I have finally taken the plunge and today had a (cube green) delivered along with a GNR (to replace Henny who was taken by the fox!). I also have 4 eggs which are due to hatch around next wednesday!

I was just wondering how long it will take my chooks to get used to the cube? Valerie - the new girl - is in the eglu at the mo and the big girls are ment to be in the cube tonight, however, so far they have not shown the slightest bit of interest in the cube! They spent a long time clucking this afternoon but I think that was more to do with the thunderstorm than the cube! Also, I havn't seem the drink from the superglug yet - does it take a while for them to use that aswell? Thanks

Congratulations on your (cube green) thats 8)

I dont have a cube but would imagine if you put them to bed tonight and they come down the ladder in the morning they will know where to find bed tommorrow night

With the superglug apparently if you tap the side water will drip out of the droppers and the hens get the drift though some peoples hens have never caught on

Congrats on the cube, we love ours and are looking to fill it out a little more, now that it's becoming a bit of a "train"

After coming home, the girls took a day or so of tapping the Superglug with a stick or a finger to get the hang of it. When "free-ranging though they still go to a "normal" feeder and drink loads even though the S'glug goes down a fair bit each day

Even dirty puddles - think the dog taught them :shameonu:
