Can they remain broody for ever?

Recommended Posts

Monica one of my bluebelles is still broody but only spends some days broody and then only part of the day broody. She is too much of a piggy to stay on the nest all of the time. Can this go on for ever? It has been possilbly 2 months now. She is a fine healthy weight and the pot keeps being used as a threat but to no avail.

My cochins are nearly broody the whole of the summer from March to September.

They do have periods of what I call "semi broody" where they still eat and drink and do some chickeny things but have to be prompted to do this. I just keep turfing them out of the nest box and up from their pancake position to make them move.

They are hardened broodies the pair of them :wall:
