Plymouth Rocks

Recommended Posts

I have a black plymouth rock. She is a delight. Very large but very gentle hen with no badness in her at all. In fact two days ago she hatched her first lot of chicks and now has 4 babies (all light sussex!) (hatch) . She did go broody fairly quickly after coming into lay but I think thats the same for alot of breeds. :D

I had a Bantam Plymouth Rock and can really recommend them- very sweet natured, make cute little chirpy noises and she was always first to bed! Sadly she got egg bound and died - but really would recommend anyone thinking of getting one.

Good luck with yours!
