welshnik Posted July 15, 2009 Share Posted July 15, 2009 So my other half normally shuts them in at night - just walks up and shuts the Eglu door and that's sorted.... but tonight I said I would. So I went up 2 mins ago and went to shut the door - well, must have known it was me cos she shot straight out and daft followed, as she does.... so it's now almost 10pm and chickens are not in bed in the yet.... Abbey Road Girl Posted July 15, 2009 Share Posted July 15, 2009 A word of caution: if chickens show a reluctance to go in and roost, it may be because there is an infestation of red mites. Please check in the poop trays and every other spot where the mites might be hiding. Pale combs and wattles, crouching, etc., are also signs.
