simon_blackwell1
Came very close to murdering Sage and Onion this morning when they kicked up a right fuss at 4:30am! They then went quiet again just as I was about to get and go and see what was going on, only to kick off at 5am again! Couldn't see anything in the garden to worry them so went back to bed. On her way to work a couple of hours later my wife spotted three big foxes in the grounds of the school opposite our house. Can chickens sense foxes? I ask because there didn't seem to be any sign of foxes actually having been in the garden and the layout of our garden (extremely high walls) means that it is unlikely foxes could get in. Redwing
They probably made the noise because something scared them, it could have been a cat, fox or even a big bird, I suppose they could sense a fox buut more than likely saw it or heard it Were they shut in? simon_blackwell1
Shut in the run but I leave the door to the eglu open. I would be very surprised if a fox had managed to find its way in. Perhaps they were makiing noise.
