sandyhas3chucks
I have i suspected depluming mite. I had to barh one girl due to a fly paper getting wrapped around her. (dead sticky.) She had been a bit off now and again, not as heavy as she was. chucking out a few softees(nothing odd for her) but just felt something not quite right. During bathing I found she whilst looking well featherd was in fact quite bald underneath(and she's a rooster not a nester) I had just received my neem oil so added it to the final wash. Then thought as I was soaking wet, stinking of neem oil, floor soaked, what the heck, lets do poor Scraggles. Now poor girl was looking worse now then when she came(hence suspisions) so bathed her too. Having very few feathers (unlike the other) and they were very dry, she has got well coverd in neem. She dried well in the summerhouse, then headed for a dust bath. several times daily sicse Sat and her bath! Well it is not a real attractive look..... she looks like a very old grey chook! Sooooooo would the neem have done it's job now and should I or not.. bathe it off her? Tht was a long post for a short question wsn't it?
