Poorly chicken

1. Take a flying leap from your owner's arms.

2. Land awkwardly.

3. End up with a face-plant on the hard tiles of the hall floor.

4. Snap off both top front teeth quite cleanly but very short.

5. Snap off one of bottom front teeth below the gumline, causing it to bleed.

6. Take a trip to the vet anyway for a course of antibiotics to prevent infection.

 

All this cost more than two trips to the vet for burring would have cost! Stupid rabbit!

Vet trips are always traumatic but I've never heard of anything like this!

 

Will your rabbit's teeth grow back?

Yes they will grow back, so the vet has assured me. The antibiotics are only just in case of infection. Fortunately he's eating fine and back to his usual (naughtly) self.

There's some good news then. We've just had to fence in our roses because Bandit has taken to biting through whole branches! It was OK when it was just the odd leaf or two. And it's not as though there isn't always food in their bowls.
