Hi All

 

I am new to the forum, and i was wondering if anybody knows where i can buy prefably baby silkie chickens from around the Leicestershire area.

 

I have contacted merrydale poultry and they are no longer do any for the year

 

I would love it if any body could help me out

If you buy chicks you will need to keep them under a heat lamp for a while and inside so will need the right equipment (which can be as simple as a crate and heat lamp)

 

Also you won't know if they are girls or boys

Thank you for your reply, i have got a heat lamp ready i also have a incubater to as i would be willing to go down that route as well

I would suggest looking on the Welland Valley Feed site (Market Harborough based). They have 'small adverts' for poultry. There were a few smallish breeders who advertised Silkies when I last looked. Also, have you tried Westaway Poultry in Rutland?
