DebC
Hi I'm worried about my White star. She laid her first beautiful white egg on Friday, which for a first egg was a massive 68g (with a double yolk - Husband's breakfast yesterday!). I didn't expect her to lay an egg yesterday as I thought she would be needing time to recover. She has laid another egg today, this time a more normal 54g, but there was some blood on the egg. Is this normal given the size of her first egg She looks fine. She won't let me pick her up to check her, but she never has let anyone pick her up - she can run very fast! I thought I would check her over tonight when she's gone to bed. There's no obvious blood on her bum. Thanks for your help
Ain't Nobody Here
I should think she just had a wee tear from the first big egg, poor thing . As long as it's a one off, I shouldn't worry .
