Xeno 200 - Advice please

Recommended Posts

I have purchased a bottle of Xeno 200 Spray to worm all my chooks (7 of them) but I am unsure how much spray I should use.

It is not licensed for chickens, though many use it for this purpose. The vet seemed happy to give it to me for this purpose.

I have quite small chickens (Silkies and Polish) up to large ones (Orpington).

The instructions say 1 spray per 200g weight of bird. Does this mean I need to weigh my birds first and administer accordingly? Or is it ok just to spray once on the chicken, regardless of size?

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I would guesstimate and their weight and apply accordingly. Weighing chickens isn't that easy, unless you have super sensitive bathroom scales and can stand on them with the chicken in your arms and then without and calculate the difference. Not sure I could be bothered tbh. :D
