sandyhas3chucks
why don't you let one or 2 quiet ones in with her(supervised) and or all on a rotation, so that they still see her as a flock member, and if tou see all is good with one or a few they could keep her company and helpher buid her confidence AND not be lonely good luck
madchickenlady
Good idea, Sandy! The silkies are gentle and friendly, so I might well shove them in with her at night to keep warm. She's quite happily pootlining about the greenhouse, and staring at the snow on the roof The other girls have retreated to the coop. They're not keen on snow! sandyhas3chucks
how funny I just finished a posting about them NOT liking the cold All mine are now in the heated greenhouse having been in our snowless and actually quite warm garden(despite what the forecast was for this morning) by 2.30 they will make their way to the run, where there is protection and a heat lamp to relax under, and to fill up (more)with fuel before bed and the garden is now bitterly cold as per precicted, so no doubt the snow wil be back soon.
