Ready Steady Cook Bag Ideas

Recommended Posts

I am doing a Ready Steady cook party for my DD who is 14. I have to put together 3 bags of ingredients from which the 3 teams have to cook their own supper. 2 groups don't really like red meats and spice and the final group eat anything - DD is in that group and she would chew on a cow if it stood still long enough  They are doing main course and pud so.....any fun ideas??

croissant dough sounds good. I have got some tinned fruit, spare ribs, sausage meat and have also got a sweet potatoes, butternut squash and a celeriac to see what they can come up with as some will never have seen or eaten one before. I was going to get cider but decided against is as they are 14 and may end up drinking it all

How about picking 3 unusual classic recipes (such as ceviche , gumbo or Glamorgan sausages) and get the ingredients to make them (fish, onions and lemons or pork belly, prawns, peppers, tomatoes and okra or caerphilly, leeks, eggs and bread), but don't mention to the "contestants" what the original recipes were. Then you can give bonus points for using all the ingredients and/or correctly identifying and making the original dish.
