Hi all,

Just after a bit of help... it turns out that our pair of White Campbells are both males which is a shame as we really wanted a male & female pair. However, we've just had an offer of swapping one of our males for a female from a friend.

The problem is that our male pair have been together since hatching and I don't want to upset them by separating them.

Has anyone else done this? Did it work out ok?

Yes as long as they have other ducks that would be fine..a couple of females would good...just in case you ever lose one? ie one male and two females. But I have had to donate the odd duck to friends and they are fine with their own.

Probably better to have 2 females as Indie says. We started with a pair of White Campbells and the drake was fine as they had been raised together.

I think we've finally decided to give it a go. However now the other parties girlfriend isn't so keen. Oh well.... watch this space
