Eggquisite
Despite our lovely Orp, Pootle laying a double yolker on Sunday we have noticed that over the last two or three days she has been laying softies & has had a slightly poopie vent which we have cleaned up. The double yolker was the first egg we have had from her for a few days - she has been laying since early January all of which have had quite thin shells. Since the double yolker she has laid another softie. All of the girls have been wormed & have had some calcium supplement is there anything else we should be doing? They all have access to grit & free range daily. Many thanks, Liz
lillybettybabs
Hi, I had a simular problem with My Babs, I found her crop to be slightly impacted (i had to feel it) once i had sorted that out i put her back with the others and caught her eating the Aubiose in their run instead of feed. She had been laying sofies for a few days. With the other two being gants i used to put Babs in a carrier with some mashed egg and greens (and pellets) for a couple of days (putting her back in the coop at night). Life Gard in her water also helped, Oh and no treats.
