red mite on a broody hen

Recommended Posts

Put some on the bedding and on the chook before she starts sitting

If you suspect red mite during the 21 days you'll have to dust her again but try not to

red mite is a very big risk to a broody hen, if you have a history of it in her coop I wouldnt even use that coop for the broody period

Something that has a residual effect on the coop (Total Mite Kill spray) and something that has a residual effect on the chicken (for example Ivermectin or mite spray - neither are officially licenced for chickens) used before the eggs are placed under the hen would be a better combination
