Eglu cube or go up with 2m run

Just got my chickens, and i have read about red mite, is it best to put powder down now or do i wait till i see them? how long will it be till they appear in my fresh coop, yes it is a wooden coop. and will they be a big problem ? i have six chickens .... how often will i need to fully clean the coop and treat. or am i worrying to much, just want the best for my chickens, many thanks jim.
