prudance
Hi, Is it normal for your chickens to not moult? My four all had a very small moult underneath their bellies just before Christmas. So small, that we didn't notice till they had a wash and blow dry one day. They don't appear to have moulted at all other than that though. Egg production dipped slightly for one month and now we're back at Summer levels again. Is this normal? Is it just because they're young? Think they were Dec 08 chicks. Thanks! CluckyBucks
Hello some breeds moult faster than others i suppose, but they should moult a few times at least. Maybe they do it secretly Have you noticed little grey dust areas in thier coop? if so, this could be where flakes of skin shed during a moult. Hope this helps. xx xx
prudance
I haven't seen any skin dust in their trays at all. I saw some this time last year when one of the chickens was growing new feathers. I think I must have magic chickens
