Alibobs
On sunday Renee's chicken, one of our 5 girls laid a egg out in the field and although perfectly formed and large it was without a shell. The day after she was acting strange huddling, sitting, moping about and we were worried but the next day she was fine, we suspect she laid another shelless egg because we found one in the nesting box. She seems in fine fettle now back to normal. Today we suspect she has laid a massive eyewatering egg one of the biggest we have ever seen so far. Renee age 4 was chuffed to bits at the size. We needs some new scales before we can get a true weight though (mine are the old fashioned justice type oz ones that I just refuse to part with, and it weighed 3 3/4 oz on them) I will post a pic and the weight once I pick up some gram scales. Is this normal, we think she might have just started laying recently. Is their anything I need to be aware of. Thanks Alibobs.
Ain't Nobody Here
That's 106g . That belongs on the Omlet Large Egg Leader Board . I've already added it . It shouldn't be a problem. Huge eggs aren't that uncommon (as you'll see from the Leader Board!). It's only a problem if they get stuck, obviously .
