Nicola H
The country show is on at Tatton park all weekend looks like a good day out.............The farmers market near me is the first Sunday in the month at Abbey Leys farm which is also an organic Meadowsweet stockist... Nicola H
I found a card for an Organic farm shop I picked up at the last farmers market Alison it is called Riverside Organics They sell lots of organic produce but mainly their own oranically grown beef the list of food for sale in the farm shop is very long they even stock organic Baby food. I haven't managed a visit yet but it is on my list for next week......The card says visit our traditional, family run farm in the heart of Cheshire. Discover organically grown foods of exceptional taste and quality, right on your doorstep. Relax and enjoy beautiful views and delicious ice cream. Live life go organic.....Sounds good to me. The address is : Bennett Riverside Organics Shipbrook Hill Farm Manor Lane Whatcroft Northwich Cheshire CW9 7RH. Tel ; 01606 46258 I would give them a call and make sure they are open on Bank holiday Monday..........Hope this helps let us know how you get on........ Alison M
Chelford market -Monday mornings .... need to check the B.H though. . Hi SarahJo & Nicola, Just like to thank you for your suggestions of a day out. We had a really really enjoyable day out yesterday. When you mentioned a market I remembered Beeston is on on a Bank holiday, so we started off there. Then we went to The Harvest Store at Hopley House, Wimboldsley, Middlewich (farmers market monthly every 2nd Sunday). Bought some lovely organic produce and the best bottle of wine I have ever tasted. We then went onto the farm that you suggested Nicola, unfortunately closed on Mondays, (you did tell me to ring first), however not too disappointed, went to Blakemere craft centre bought a lovely bone china chicken mug and a life size bantam cockerel(its not real). Then we went and had a meal. It was the most enjoyable day out I have had for ages. Many thanks for the ideas and hope you had an enjoybale day.
