2009 Omlet cube and run for sale

Hello - can anyone offer any advice? My 4 year old Ginger nut died on Saturday night. She didn't seem poorly at all, just went to sleep as usual and didn't wake up. (though this was in the run jot the nesting box oddly).

 

Now our Peggy seems off colour. She's walking slowly, not interested in food and has rather gooey business round her vent feathers. She gets a congested crop every now and then which causes the slowness but it usually rights itself after 24hrs. She's been like this since yesterday morning.

 

I assumed Hilda died of old age but could it be she was ill and Peggy is for the same ending? Our third lady is her usual gobby little self this morning.

 

We moved house a month ago but we've had no issue with them what so ever. A cat has been watching them but they've seen it off twice, and a wood pigeon seems to have made friends with them. That's about it...

 

Any thoughts?

As you have had one death I would be inclined to get your girl that is off colour checked over by a vet. You can try things like worming with Flubenvet if they haven't been wormed within the last 3 months but I personally would get her checked over first.

She seems to have perked up a lot as of about 3pm. I have the vet on stand by though! Thank you. Xx

Good news

 

She MAY be grieving... chickens strike up the same type of friendships as us hoomans so she may be missing her friend, however I agree with keeping vet on standby! Will keep fingers crossed for her x
