JanTheDiver
Hi Tikka has started showing signs of broodiness i.e. sitting on all the eggs (three hours yesterday and possibly all day today), going very flat over the eggs, not wanting to budge when I try to move her; but she is still laying eggs. I thought when hens go broody they stopped laying, is this not always the case? Also I have a dilemma, I don't have a separate cage to put her in to bring her out of broodiness, I have turfed her out of the next twice tonight and she has gone back in. Are the only options for me to either let it run it's course which I know lasts 6 weeks or more or plonk her bum into cold water for a few minutes? If so she will be swimming tomorrow I welcome all thoughts on the matter, thanks Jan
