orp_lover
After having our two girls for a week now we noticed that they drink *alot*! Is this normal?
chickinboy
It's a little difficult to judge when they've only just arrived, but if they're otherwise happy, healthy and laying (if they're old enough), then I wouldn't worry too much. As the weather has suddenly got a lot hotter, they'll just be trying to keep themselves cool. You might see a few watery poops, but that's most likely to be as a result of the same thing. I normally see a sudden increase in water consumption when the weather turns, and then they seem to get used to it and slow down again. The main thing is just to make sure that they've got all the water they want. edit: another thought might be to make sure they've got enough shade away from the sun - if they really are drinking huge amounts then it might suggest they're having trouble cooling down. pipistrelle
Just a thought, is it a glug and are there wet patches underneath? just that we discovered our glug leaking from one nozzle yesterday, thought we'd sorted it but it has emptied over night.
