Toots
I let the girls out to free range last night as usual about 5:30, About 7pm I gave 1 girl her antibiotics and put her back into 1 run. And while I was there I put the other 4 back into the Cube. Because we are introducing and we have a hen in isolation the cube has had to be divided. I went back into the house and sat down for 5 min before I heard panic outside I assumed that 1 of the old girls had got into the new girls side and was enforcing her dominance and the new girls couldn’t get away. When I got out there was a big git of a fox pacing round the cube trying to get in and the girls obviously going mental! I probably got to within 3 meters of it before it ran off, only to stay in the garden watching me! Then after I chased it did it run off completely! I had been inside giving the antibiotics so a couple of min earlier the fox could have had free access! Complete vigilance from now on! No FR without me there! Debby Tutton
Wow that was close. Do you have any other anti-fox other than the eglu run ? Sonic scarers, electric fences, motion detector lights ???
