Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

Today after more than a year of having my sussex betty crouched.

 

Bob crouches if she thinks I have boruhgt food but as I went to sort Betty out for picking too much on the MD's but Betty crouched and I can do it whenever I want to her but I know why she doesnt perch much. She isnt fat but she weighs almost the same as a large fowl.

 

I know you migt not believe it because she is a bantam but she is huge.

Maybe she just feels you dont mind and she can take her time ?
