honorandkit
Just been out to shut the girls up for the night and there was a poo on the pop hole door. I could see it had blood in it - the same consistency as the poo itself. We've only had the chickens since the weekend - they came from an authorised agent for Black Rocks, and are between 8 and 13 weeks old. We're feeding them Farmgate growers pellets, some meal worms as treats and I've put out some grit for the first time today. Should I be worried? Obviously, I have no idea yet who's poo it was. Jools
It's quite normal in growers, they shed a little gut lining every now an again (which looks a bit scary until you get used to it lol)
honorandkit
Thanks Jools. I know all about shedding your gut lining - I have Crohn's disease! The blood seems to have stopped for now.
