I'm not known for being a morning person but this really takes the biscuit...

 

0630 Alarm goes off; potter downstairs to let the ladies out. Hello chickens! Back indoors, turn coffee machine on in readiness for husband making espresso when he surfaces, back to bed.

0745 Gentle bokking.

0755 Louder bokking.

0800 Very cross 'pay attention to us immediately' bokking.

0801 stumble downstairs to remonstrate. Am met at the back door by Elphie who is clearly thinking 'You are in for it now woman and it serves you right for taking that sparrow away from me yesterday.'. Very cross bokking.

0802 Where the heck are the chickens?! They're not in the run! what has Elphie done with them?! And why is the pop hole closed...? Open the pophole and out march two very indignant chickens. Turns out that I'd dreamt - incredibly vividly - that I'd got up and done the morning routine. FAIL.

Oh wow what a vivid dream. Unless you were in a sort of sleep walk but concious you were outside but never touched the house.

I did that once, stayed in bed till 12 though, the chickens were not happy at all.

I have to say i never did that but i did ONCE just once forget I had chickens and they stayed in there till about 1. I felt so ashamed and angry but it was in the first month.

 

I now get up at 7 every morning because if not I gt told off and I dont want anymore scars on me.
