highlandhoney
Hi All Anyone out there tell me how to encourage my bees into the supers? My girls have propolised the queen excluders to the top of the frames and now they can't get through into the supers very easily. Anyone got any experience of this? Olly
They will stick it down to the top of the brood box, are you saying that they have clogged up the QE itself with propolis? If so, then I think you may need to remove it temporarily and give it a s"Ooops, word censored!"e down. They may simply not be ready to move up into supers - have they drawn and filled all the comb in the brood body yet?
Guest
Metal or plastic? If metal, slotted or wire ? Freezing and flexing works well for the steel slotted. Freezing and s"Ooops, word censored!"er works well for wired. I don't generally use plastic ones - they look too short-lived for my liking.
