There's an idea on Your Freedom linkyfor an amendment to the Noise pollution laws for pre-existing noise. IMO this would be a great thing to happen for us chicken keepers. If you want to read more, register and then hopefully positively rate here is the linky

Shameless bump as although not my idea I think it's a great one. You do need to register but then just click on the stars to rate it.

I think it is a good idea too - except that you do need to make it possible for people moving into an area to support a complaint about noise that is being made by others who have lived there for a long time, and also for them to complain about a new noise that starts up shortly after they move in - e.g. a newer neighbour moves in 6 months later and starts having loud parties or has a noisy barking dog. They shouldn't have to wait until 2 years is up before having a complaint taken seriously. It needs careful thinking. However I do agree that people shouldn't be able to move in knowing there is a potential source of noise and then complain retrospectively.
